Laughing is something we’ve all done since birth. But did you know its many health benefits?

Laughter therapy is a non-pharmacological treatment that can boost both physical and mental health. Physiologically, it enhances neuron, muscle, and respiratory function. It can also lower the risk of stress-related disorders like heart disease and high blood pressure.

Laughter also helps your immune system. Immunoglobulin to resist disease antibodies and interferon to stop virus multiplication both increase when we laugh. Laughter also adds to white blood cells in our bodies, enhancing our immunity.

Laughter lowers stress by triggering the production of endorphins. These keep us in a good mood and reduce stress hormones as well as negative emotions like anxiety, anger, and depression. We get better sleep and are at lower risk of dementia.

Stress levels are rising with challenges in the workplace. That’s why laughter therapy can benefit our bodies and hearts, as well as the people around us, without any prescription or equipment.
