With the double threat of PM2.5 and COVID-19, we have to take care of our health. Today let’s look at a topic we might overlook but can greatly affect our well-being: indoor lighting.
Indoor lighting matters. For vision, we pick up light with photoreceptors in our retina, a thin inner layer of tissue with 2 types of cell: rods and cones. The optic nerve turns light into electrical impulses that our brain interprets.
But light also matters for the circadian rhythm. This cycle affects systems like hormones, emotions, and perceptions. Let’s explore its impact in this post.
