The start of winter may feel good with its cooler weather. But the season always brings something far less welcome… PM2.5 particles!
Pollution gets worse each day with no sign of letting up. We can protect ourselves by wearing masks. But we know this isn’t a sustainable solution. That’s why all sectors need to work together to overcome this challenge.
RISC has collaborated with many partners on research and innovation to address air pollution. The urban air-purifying devices "Fahsai 1" (at 101 True Digital Park) and "Fahsai 2" (at the Airport Rail Link Station in Makkasan and at Phayao) use water to collect particles. These hybrid automatic air-purifying towers run on both solar and mains power. With UVC rays and ozone they can kill bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
Another air purifier “Fresh One” (at Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard) uses electrostatic technology, releasing positive ions to catch particles and release clean air.
RISC never stops developing innovations for well-being. Stay tuned for new air-purifying innovations to solve PM2.5 for Thais.
