Did you know? Each year, more than 1,000 wild birds are caught and smuggled for pets and more than 60% of the birds that are caught die in transit.
Nowadays, the demand for wild birds as beautiful pets in cages is increasing and the birds that were caught had to die along the way. As a result, there are four times more poaching of wild birds than before, and the illegal wildlife trade jumps to second place secondary only to drug trafficking.
In fact, we would like to have beautiful birds in their homes. You can do it...not difficult. Just create an ecosystem around the house to be shady with a variety of plants such as flowers, fruit trees and foliage plants, and our area is ready to welcome birds from nature. Most importantly...don't forget the clean water source that is not very deep. Let the birds come and stand in the water to cool off.
There are many different species of birds in nature. As long as we share a small area with them, we can have beautiful birds to live around our homes without supporting illegal wildlife trade. It is also considered to help conserve birds on National Bird Day on January 5th in another way.
