High-Flow Ambulance

High flow ambulance

High-Flow Ambulance applies the same principle of increasing airflow, within the vehicle cabin, as a negative-pressure isolation room.

The key feature is adjusting the inside air pressure to be negative or lower than outside, preventing potentially contaminated air from flowing out. The special features include:

  • Negative pressure control system: Adjusting the internal pressure to be negative or lower than outside to prevent potentially contaminated air from escaping, thus stopping the spread of germs.
  • Filter and isolate viruses: Drawing potentially contaminated air through a high-efficiency air filter to remove viruses and release clean air outside. This airflow control effectively provides germ containment within a limited space.

This principle has been applied to Chulalongkorn Hospital's emergency ambulances by enhancing the system to draw out air and increase airflow, known as High Flow, almost achieving negative pressure.

By maximizing air extraction, it creates airflow within the ambulance cabin, potentially reaching negative pressure.
