21 August 2018, Bangkok – RISC hosted the first WELL Journey Thailand event, introducing Bangok-based architects and engineers to the work of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) to make buildings healthier.RISC hosted the forum as Thailand’s first office built to meet the WELL Building Standard’s exacting specifications for air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind.IWBI claims its building standard is the first to address human health, complementing environmental codes such as LEED or TREES.Based on seven years of research, the WELL Building Standard takes a holistic approach to well-being. Building users might be encouraged to use stairs, for example, through attractive design and lighting, said Richard Chang, Director at IWBI Asia.Assoc.
