4 November 2018, Bangkok – TEDxBangkok hosted TEDxBangkok Adventures 2018: Dis + Able Technology to find technology for social development in various fields. The main presenter was Asst. Prof. Dr Proadpran Punyabukkana from Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Engineering. The seminar was held at Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) on the 4th floor of Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard. The seminar featured devices to help people with disabilities or illnesses, such as walking sticks for patients with Parkinson’s, drawing equipment for the visually impaired, speaking keyboards, and tracking devices for people with impaired memories. The seminar was attended by 14 people with disabilities, including visual, movement, and hearing impairments, who shared their needs to facilitate their daily lives. RISC also presented its philosophy, attracting many attendees. In addition, Ms Aiyarin Jantankaew, Technology Designer from Obodroid, participated as a technology curator.
